How do I manually update my Merlyn desktop app?

Windows

1. Close or quit the existing Merlyn app.
2. Go to apps.merlyn.org
3. Most users should click the big green button to download the .exe installer.
4. Once the download has completed, open the downloaded app (it should be labeled app.exe). Allow the installer to update the app.
5. Once the install is complete, the app will re-open. You may be asked to login again.

Note: If the original installation is from the Microsoft Store, the app will update on it own. 

Mac

Option 1: 

1. Click on the "Update Now" button when prompted to update. 
2. Close or quit the existing Merlyn app. 
3. Re-open the app, and the update is done!

Option 2:

1. Close or quit the existing Merlyn app.
2. Go to apps.merlyn.org and click the big green button to download the zip file.
3. Unzip the downloaded file.
4. Drag the new MM Desktop icon to your Applications folder in Finder and choose "Replace" from the pop up.
