Snapshot AI allows the teacher to identify an image or text on the screen using voice commands and the AirMouse, and Merlyn will generate deeper information about the item in question.

To open the Snapshot AI tool, say "Open snapshot."

The toolbar will be displayed at the bottom of your screen. 

Other voice requests for this action include:

  • "Begin snapshot"
  • "Start snapshot"
  • "Go to annotation"

Use the AirMouse to interact

Click and hold the center orange button to create a shape around the image or text that you wish to know more about.

You can choose between free drawing, circle, or square on the toolbar. 

Below, you can see an example of free drawing.

Options for next action - Search, Copy Description, Close

Search - Opens a google image search for more information about the content you have selected

Copy Description - Copies the text of the generated description to be pasted into a document

Close - Closes the pop up menu

To close the Snapshot AI tool, say "Close snapshot."

Other voice requests for this action include:

  • "Stop snapshot"
  • "End snapshot"
