To set a timer:

Say "set a timer for <x amount of time>"

Use the same command, "set a timer for <x amount of time>", for all additional timers.

Each timer will display the numerical time and a countdown progress bar.

The Merlyn timer has multiple ways to interact with and control.

  • "Pause Timer" and "Resume Timer" will allow you to stop and restart the timer.
  • "Hide Timer" and "Show Timer" will hide/show the timer on your screen. The timer will continue to run while hidden.
  • "Compact Timer" and "Enlarge timer" will make the timer window smaller or return to the original size.
  • "Cancel Timer" will stop and get rid of the timer.
  • "Extend the timer by x minutes" will allow you to extend the timer by a requested amount of time.

We have three themed timers: bathroom, focus, and snack.

  • "Set a bathroom timer for <x amount of time>"
  • "Set a focus timer for <x amount of time>"
  • "Set a snack timer for <x amount of time>"

Control each timer by name

  • "Restart the <1st, 2nd, bathroom, focus, snack> timer."
  • "Cancel the <1st, 2nd, bathroom, focus, snack> timer."
  • "Extend the <1st, 2nd, bathroom, focus, snack> timer."
