Why do I see a log in error?

Q: When I login to the desktop app, why do I see "No valid license, please contact your administrator to add your account to an organization with a valid license”?

 

A: The logged in account does not have a valid Origin license in your organization. 

 

Solutions: 

  • Check if you have logged in with the correct Google or Microsoft credentials. 
  • Try logging in and out of the Merlyn Desktop App to pickup any license changes:
    • Open the Overlay and select “Account” and then “Logout”.  
    • Click “Login” on the notification that appears or in the “Account” menu.
  • Check that your district IT Admin has added your correct email to their organization in https://manage.merlyn.org/ and has activated their Origin license.
